Steelers: No James Connor, who got hurt at the end of the last game with a shoulder injury. Worry for that injury led the Steelers to inquire about Le'veon Bell when the Jets put his name into the mix before trade deadlines ended. I would have loved to have heard what went through Bell's head when he heard that, but jeez, let's not go backward.
- That call on fourth and two for a Steelers shovel pass? That's where we fans begin questioning our offensive coordinator. Notice on the same call, the Colts didn't run a shovel pass. They went with their running back. Who got the first down.
- Indy's quarterback Jacoby Brissett was hurt when his own man fell on his ankle, and he was pulled out for backup Brian Hoyer who is like 103 years old but played like he was 27 years old. Our defense did not put much pressure on the quarterback in the first half.
- Best move this season? Acquiring Minkh Fitzpatrick from the Dolphins. Four interceptions and a fumble recovery in the first six games. Huge 96-yard touchdown interception to tie the game at 10-10.
- How is it that in every game I watch, there are wide open players? Every. Time. Buccaneers Mike Evans. Seahawks Tyler Lockett. Any receiver that plays for the Patriots. Yet, JuJu Smith-Schuster can't seem to shake his defenders? He made his 200th catch on Sunday (youngest to do it), but he isn't anywhere the same wide receiver as last year. Steelers need the other WR's to step up. I keep thinking James Washington will show me something, but it's like he's comatose since the preseason.
- A safety? Run, Rudolph, run. Anything is better than giving the other team a safety. A point against the O-line on that one too. Hold the damn line, especially when you're in the end zone. Ugh.

- Too many missed tackles by our defense today. Worst one on third down with a missed tackle on Hoyer by Heyward. The next play resulted in a Colts TD.
- OMG! Adam Vinetari, Mr. Clutch, falls victim to The Heinz Field curse. Steelers win! Steelers win! Steelers win! Vinetari was the hero last week. He's the hero again this week...for Steelers fans!!
- I stand behind my tweet. This team, with all the crap we've endured once again (mainly in the injury department), has really pulled together and shown me something different than I've witnessed in our last five years. We aren't going to win the Super Bowl, but we've definitely succeeded.
Other:
- Highest scoring first half? The Jets and the Dolphins. Hey, playing against a team with the same skills is always a good game. Remember last year's Rams/Chiefs game?
- Not looking good for former UNC quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the Chicago Bears. Trubisky has spent more time on the turf than he has in the end zone. If I were a quarterback, I'd been meeting with my offensive line after practice every day to make sure those guys were doing their best job in defending me.
- Washington's Adrian Peterson broke the one hundred rushing yardage mark for the first time since 2012.
- In looking at the Dolphins almost empty stadium, I thought if I were running things, I would have moved everyone down closer to the field so that the crowd could be a factor. But I suppose some yahoo with season tickets would complain. I'd make it a condition on tickets. If you don't show up, your seat can be warmed for a chance at home-field advantage. As kids, we always moved closer if we could.
- I'm amazed at how many floaters (passes) there are now in the NFL. O-lines making that a necessity, I suppose.
- 22.6 mph for Tyrek Hill on his way to a TD. What a day this guy had to keep this game alive for the win.
- Kansas City tried to give it away. What was with those dropped snaps?
- The Chargers Phillip Rivers looked like the Rivers of old in his first drive against the Packers. In fact, the entire first half the two teams played like they'd traded uniforms.
- CBS camera crews zoomed in on the Browns Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.'s cleats, footwear against the NFL uniform code. At halftime, the NFL fashion police let the two know that if they didn't change into the correct gear, they would not be allowed in the game for the second half. Reports came that the two changed their cleats. Not reported was whether or not the replacements were good ones.
- Another blown whistle for a ball that wasn't dead. The Bucs can't catch a break on that nonsense.
- The later games were what? Pats lost. Green Bay lost. What happened?
