Connie Foot Update

It has been two weeks since our last appointment with the Foot God, who sent us home the last visit without scheduling surgery because the wound was no longer tunneling and was smaller.  I hadn't expected much, and perhaps this is the new way of looking at it, but the wound was THE SMALLEST IT HAS EVER BEEN...in twenty months.

Of course, all that calloused area around the wound makes me wonder if it will allow the wound to close, but I was too excited by the smaller wound to ask many questions.  Again, we go home and wait for two weeks, putting off surgery since the wound is healing on its own.  Connie thinks the 40 days of being in the hyperbaric really jumped started the healing process.  Who knows.  I'm slightly optimistic.
