What was your favorite thing about Scotland ?
Tom - The Highlands, the haggis
Mary Anne - The scenery. The friendliness of people; most places we stayed at were nice. We had perfect weather and the highlands were beautiful.
Maddy - The accents
Darcy - The environment (accents, people, landscape, towns we visited)
Cara - The brilliant colors of the landscape. The sheep on the mountains.
What didn't you like?
Maddy -
Darcy -
Mary Anne - The food
Tom - No road signs
Cara - The food wasn't my favorite. It was very bland and sometimes just not good. And the Turkish delight ice cream was the worst thing I've ever put into my mouth. Plus I hated that we didn't stop in St. Andrews.
What did you find different from the States?
Maddy - No mustard
Darcy - All the working people were sweeter in Scotland, the accents
Mary Anne - The accents are so different, no advertising on roads, dress style more nineties than modern
Tom - The towns were unique and no common franchise of hotels, quaint and tiny towns
Cara - Scotland was cleaner and they had no advertising anywhere.
Favorite tour stop?
Maddy - Walking the city of Inverness
Darcy - Walking the city of Inverness
Mary Anne - Stirling Castle
Tom - Inverness
Cara - The Falls of Feugh Tearoom
Scotland in three words
Maddy -
Darcy -
Tom - Lush, green, mountains
Mary Anne - I loved it!
Cara - Clear, crisp, clean
Funniest happening in Scotland
Maddy - Mom getting the Turkish Delight ice cream.

Darcy - Grandma running around the car
Mary Anne - When I was yelling Romeo, Romeo off the balcony, and our singing with the Canadians.

Tom- When we got to the Carmelite and I was trying to get there and I went down this road with medians and Cara freaked out and kept telling me I couldn't do it.
Cara - When Mary Anne ran around the car to get in the passenger seat which is really the driver's seat.

Difference between Ireland and Scotland?
Mary Anne - Not as many tourist shops in Scotland like in Ireland.
Cara - The sinks. The width of the roads. The number of B&B's. The honking of car horns.
Mary Anne - Scotland countryside (highlands) is simply beautiful. Ireland has its pretty scenery with its lakes and stuff, but I think Scotland is just gorgeous.
Cara - Ireland was really into being green and organic foods and Scotland wasn't.
Tom - The width of roads; mountain passes easier in Scotland and more fun. Scotland more open than Ireland. The roads there were too closed in.
Mary Anne - Scotland was pricier than Ireland.
Mary Anne - Also Scotland was bigger than Ireland.
Mary Anne - Ireland was more charming. Their people were more satisfied than the Scottish. They have dealt with more political issues than Scotland.
Cara - I was surprised that Scotland seemed to have more livestock, more sheep, then Ireland. And they roamed free. I thought Ireland would be more like that.
Extra comments
Cara - The Scottish people were friendly and did not honk their horn in traffic like the Irish did.
Madison - Ireland had more places that seemed like touristy towns like we have (like Tarpon Springs), yet it really wasn't like that. It was just a quaint Irish town, but it felt touristy to what we are use to. But it wasn't.
Mary Anne - I thought hanging out in Aberdeen in that bed table was funny too.

Cara - I thought it was cool when the Scottish guy jumped in during our trying of Irn Bru
Mary Anne - I thought it was a surprise how high the taxes were especially in the hotels.

Tom - The coolest thing was watching the Scottish Royal Guard marching band in Inverness
Darcy - Me too.
Mary Anne - In both countries French fries came with everything. Way too many fries.
