Today's shout out is for my former childhood neighbor Barry who lived across the street from us. We lived in a great neighborhood where all of the kids hung out and played with each other. Barry's house was our house and vice versa, and we came and went into each other's abodes without hesitation. It was a different time where your neighbors were as much a part of your family as your own, and we always celebrated birthdays with each other.
Barry was in the same grade as me, although we only shared a homeroom one year.

Cara, I truly miss those days! We really did overlap families. All of us were very lucky to have each other. I love keeping up with your life through social media. Thanks, Sue
Thanks Cara, you have a great memory. I need to post a couple of older photos I have of you on Facebook soon (don't hold your breath though) just to get back at all of the pictures you have made available that your Dad took of everyone.
AWESOME!!! That is so sweet. I think we probably grew up in the best neighborhood there was. What a great childhood we all had. And you're right, they did pick on us a LOT!!! Thanks for showing everybody what a great brother I have. The other brother is hard to beat too. Your blogs always remind me of how lucky we all are to have grown up together. Thanks! Keep up the wonderful stories. And Happy Birthday to my big brother:)
