Holiday pics

Thanksgiving came and Thanksgiving went.  Family visited.  We were expressive of thankfulness.  Why is it that this only happens at the end of the year at these holidays?  Shouldn't we be thankful all year long?  Shouldn't we be visiting family all year long?  Just saying.

We had a good visit with Tom's sister and family from Chicago.  I didn't do a good job of taking pictures.  We did a lot of eating.  We played putt putt.  The kids played tons of cards and various games.  We ate.  We celebrated Madison's birthday.

Behold the photos that I did take:

Putt Putt - Girls played against the girls and boys played against boys.  I kept score.

Nancy won in the girls round.  Michael won in the boys round.  Brea, above, worked hard at winning, but alas, I wouldn't let her cheat more than a few times.

Eli putting

Joey helping Darcy search for her ball that went off the green and off the path and into these bushes that were hiding a bank that led to a pool of water.  Michael finally went down the bank and retrieved the ball.

We thought it funny that Maddy played with her purse strapped to her body.

The boys

Apparently there are alligators at this putt putt place.  Real alligators.  You can pay to feed them.

We did.  Quite the entertainment.

We all went to dinner at our favorite restaurant and then the next day we celebrated Madison's birthday with cake and cookie cake and ice cream.  She raked in the dough and gifts.

We were sorry to have to say good-bye.
